Material Reference Card

Composition reference is Cr 17.5-19.5%, Ni 8.0-10.5%, Mn max 2.00%, Si max 0.75%, N max 0.10%, C max 0.07%, P max 0.045%, S max 0.030%, and Fe balance. Density is 7.90 g/cm3. Flat products only have the stated mechanical reference: tensile strength min 515 MPa, yield strength min 205 MPa, elongation min 40%, and hardness max 92 HRB.

Keep Flat-Product Values in Their Proper Scope

Listed mechanical values apply to flat products only. Tube, bar, fittings, and forgings require confirmation for the relevant form and condition. ASTM A240 for plate/sheet/strip and ASTM A666 are flat-product references only. Representative form references also include ASTM A269 for tubing, ASTM A312 for pipe, ASTM A276 for bar/shapes, ASTM A182 for forged flanges/fittings, ASTM A403 for wrought fittings, and ASTM A314/A473 for billets/forgings.
